We Asked The Stylist: Amrita Singh

Dubai-based personal stylist and editor Amrita Singh has mastered minimalism with her effortless take on every day dressing and wardrobe basics. Here, she shares how she’s styling the Charlotte Leather Pants three different ways, from day to night.

Coffee date

For me, leather pants can take you from day to night with simple changes and this silver pair have endless styling potential. For a casual late brunch with friends, I paired them with an oversized cotton shirt, sandals with a Prada nylon mini backpack and Loewe sunglasses. You can always switch out the shirt for a basic tee or a knit and sneakers for the winter.

Working in fashion - there are no dress codes per se. When I dress for work, textures are important and leather trousers always work as a great starting point. A denim shirt is casual and effortless, so I tucked in this oversized one, and added a pair of Chanel slingbacks in silver that were an exact match to the trousers. I added a pair of gold and pearl earrings along with a red suede Gucci cross body bag for an unexpected pop of colour.

NIGHT OUT

When dressing up for a night out, my style formula consists of trousers/jeans, a basic tank and a blazer. Its a classic look that is comfortable, practical and effortless. I added a pair of Isabel Marant heels, a basic tank and a Commes Des Garcons jacket. I love the maximalism of the cut of the jacket and the shimmery tweed against the silver pants. A pair of statement earrings and nothing else made the look effortless and playful.
