Bouguessa Supports Jean-Paul Najar Foundation

Bouguessa supports Jean-Paul Najar Foundation a non-profit ICOM registered private museum located in Dubai at Alserkal Avenue.

Drawing inspiration from art, architecture and global culture since the beginning, it is only natural that Bouguessa creates ties with the art community in an official patronage.

“Ever since I can remember, I have always wanted to be involved in art, and I believe it is time for us to take a step as a brand to support art and be a part of the art community.

In the future, we plan to host numerous art events, such as exhibitions and installations to demonstrate the strong connection that our brand has with this discipline.”

– Faiza Bouguessa, Creative Director

The Jean-Paul Najar Foundation for Contemporary Art was created in an effort to bring artistic diversity to the UAE and to show off the artists Jean-Paul Najar collected and befriended. The mission of the Foundation is to continually support artists and educate a new generation of collectors.

Tracing forty years of artist-collector exchanges, JPNF highlights a remarkable collection of abstract and American art from the 1960s through today, presenting three exhibitions a year.

Designed by Mario Jossa of Marcel Breuer and Associates – whose chairs from 1927 transport visitors to another era in the Bouguessa Studio meeting room – the Jean-Paul Najar Foundation seemed like the perfect place to develop new partnerships with the art community.

In June 2018, Bouguessa's Creative Director, Faiza Bouguessa became a member of the Patron’s Group at the JPNF. The Patron’s Group acts as an important guiding group to JPNF, meeting two times a year to assist in increasing the foundation’s fundraising capacity in support of it staging exhibitions, commissioning artworks and facilitating educational programs. By taking this step forward, Bouguessa establishes itself as a key contributor to the continued growth and awareness of the vast world of art.
