We Ask the Stylist: Kat Lebrasse

Dubai-based stylist Kat Lebrasse - @katlebrasse wears Meera set in different ways, proving endless styling for these classic wardrobe pieces.

LOOK 1

Keeping this suit simple and wearing it exactly as it’s designed gives it a lovely laid back feel and yet the fabric offers a sense of luxury. Not wanting to steal the suit’s spotlight, I’ve paired it with simple strappy heels.

LOOK 2

Staying stylish in an office environment can be tricky. I always like to look professional, but I also don’t want to compromise on my style. Adding a waistcoat to the rolled up shorts adds that element of office chic.

LOOK 3

In Dubai’s heat, summertime layering is a must. I’m all for linen on linen on more linen. Throwing a light linen blazer over the Bouguessa linen shorts is the easiest way to beat the heat and the A/C at the same time.

LOOK 4

A simple draped top on these beautifully tailored shorts is an easy go-to for day. I’ve rolled up the hem to give it a more casual feel and paired with kitten heels. It speaks coffee date In Jumeirah to me.

LOOK 5

I love to play around with proportions in dressing. While I’ve kept my bottom layers fitted and tailored to ensure you can see my shape, I love that the blazer gives an oversized, more relaxed feel to the look.

LOOK 6

Most days, getting dressed is all about ease. I want to be able to throw on an outfit that I can wear to the office and then to pick up my kids. This Bouguessa dress is perfect for all day wear and it’s comfort factor is A+. To add contrast, I’ve paired it with the short sleeve blazer which is great to pull the look together. Strappy, flat, net sandals complete the look.

LOOK 7

I have a penchant for rolling. Sleeves, shorts, you name it. It was inevitable that I would roll both the sleeves and shorts of this suit and I’m obsessed with how it lends itself to a slightly fresher, almost more youthful look. To give the illusion of longer legs, I’ve paired it with nude strappy sandals.

LOOK 8

On days when I feel the need to break up a boxy silhouette, I add a minimalistic leather belt to cinch in the waist. It’s a small touch, but sometimes it’s all you need to bring the look together.
